We Give Thanks

It's always a good idea to stop and think of everything we have to be grateful for, but this year, thanks to the blessing of international adoption, our list is longer than usual.

We give thanks that our girl is finally home with her family.

We give thanks that we decided on an older child with 'special needs.'

We give thanks for three amazing, loving boys who have embraced her and guided her and encouraged her so much in these last four months.

We give thanks for her brilliant smile, her contagious laughter and her wonderful sense of humor.

We give thanks for grandparents and great-grandparents and friends who have welcomed her and shown her unconditional love from the moment she landed in Texas and every day thereafter.

We give thanks for her love and dedication to school and to learning. If we all approached learning the way she has, the world would be a better and much smarter place.

We give thanks for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ without whom this journey would not be possible.

We give thanks for the love and support we have received throughout our adoption journey and since returning home.

We give thanks for those who adopted before us and for those considering adoption now or in the future.

We are blessed, and we give thanks.
